Ilkay Buharali was born in Bursa in 1981. She graduated from Istanbul University’s Faculty of Communication, Radio Television and Cinema Department.

After graduating from university in 2004, Ilkay Buharali started her professional career and worked as a journalist for the Deşifre Haber team. During her time as a journalist, she covered many important news stories in Turkey and brought many significant issues to the forefront that are still remembered today.

In 2010, Ilkay Buharali started hosting the program “İz Peşinde” and thus started her career in hosting. Through the program, many important issues were showcased in the media and became the voice of the community.
